Flower Beauty Ultimate 3-in-1 Beauty Sponge Review

Hello all you pistachio macarons!

And welcome to today’s review! I am very pleased to announce that not only have I found a total GEM of a product, but you can get it at Wal-Mart. I KNOW. But I promise it’s worth the trip. And while you’re there maybe pick up a mulled cider candle for $3.33, you can thank me later 😉

I wanted the Flower Beauty Ultimate 3-in-1 Beauty Sponge after watching a review this past summer from Kathleen Lights. However, here in Portland, most of the Wal-Mart stores are the mini versions called “neighborhood markets” and unfortunately they do not carry Flower Beauty. And online, this product was often sold-out (although it isn’t now!). So when I was in Spokane last weekend and was able to get to a proper Wal-Mart, I somehow remembered to check the beauty aisle for it. THEY HAD ONE LEFT, lucky me. And I am so glad they did.

I have used the Beauty Blender, the EcoTools sponge, the Real Techniques one and most recently, the L’Oreal version.

I can safely say that this one from Flower Beauty is right up there with the Beauty Blender, but costs about $15 less.

Of course, these makeup application sponges should largely only be judged after being dampened so that is what I did. This puppy really expands upon being run under water and becomes incredibly soft and springy. The softness of this sponge is really what makes it so amazing. I also really enjoy the shape and having a flattened, pointed edge.

I used it to apply my Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and it blended everything beautifully. I am so beyond impressed and will probably be purchasing a backup or two…that’s how much I love it!

Have YOU tried this sponge? What did you think?
